My Process – from brief to live
1. Discovery call & brief
We start by having a 30-minute consultation call to get to know your business, goals, target audience, and competitors. I'll send over a website brief beforehand so we can make the most of the time together.
2. Strategy and structure
We plan the page structure together - keyword research can be added as part of your project if you'd like the site built around search data. If you already know exactly what you want, we can skip straight to it.
3. Design
Once the structure and number of pages are agreed, I'll create a clean, professional design that reflects your brand. You'll see previews as it progresses so nothing comes as a surprise and I can make any amendments as I go along. Need a logo or brand colours too? I can include this design service too.
4. Review and test
Once the site is built, the staging site will be sent across to you for a final review and any additional content updates can be made. During this stage I will ensure that the website is optimised well for mobile and tablet users.
5. Analytics and tracking
Behind the scenes, I'll connect your site to the right Google platforms so it's set up properly from day one. This includes Google Analytics to track performance and understand your audience, Google Search Console to see how your site appears in search, and conversion tracking to measure actions like form submissions. It also means the foundations are in place if you want to explore SEO or PPC down the line.
6. Domain set up and launch
If you already own your business domain name we can point it to the website so that it starts working immediately. We can also help set up business email addresses if required. Post launch we will be able to handover your website for you to manage, or if you'd prefer, you can sign up to a annual maintenance package.

Common questions
Most projects take between 2 – 3 months from kick-off to launch. The timeline depends on how quickly content and feedback is received from you – we’ll agree a realistic schedule at the start.
We’ll guide you on what’s needed for each page. If you’d like us to write the copy as well, we offer copywriting as part of the project – just let us know as this will be an additional cost to your project.
I primarily build on WordPress, which gives you full control over your content without needing a developer for day-to-day updates. We’ll talk through the best option for your needs.
I don’t tie you into managed hosting contracts that are difficult to exit. Instead, I’ll send you simple instructions to set up your own hosting account and give me access — I’ll take it from there. I’m happy to manage it on your behalf after launch, but the account is always yours.
Projects start from £1200 for a 5 page website, including content, images, hosting and domain set up. We’ll provide a fixed quote after our initial discovery call so there are no surprises.
